The Dutch part of the website is entirely redone and updated, now i'm going to start on the English part of the site to do the same.
So hopefully in not to much time this will look revived as well.

The tv-series based on the books (Legend of the Seeker) is playing on American tv for awhile allready now, there's still no news of it comming to tv in The Netherlands or made into a dvd series.
Terry Goodkind did announce he's working on a new book series, this (thriller/horror) series will be playing in this world, in the here and now.

This latest news made me thinking, and i've decided that this website won't be about al Terry Goodkind's work anymore, it will only be about the "Sword of Truth" serie. Seeing as mostly the fantasy-genre has my interrest i probably won't be reading his new books, and then it would be hard to keep this site up-to-date, and also another dutch fantasy site (www.fantasy-etc.nl) from which i'm part owner needs allot of attention.
If there is news about the "Sword of Truth" series or the tv-series i will definitly keep you up to date, for more news about the new series you can best go to www.terrygoodkind.com or www.terrygoodkind.net, on the first one there is also a message from Terry Goodkind thanking everyone for their support and enthousiasm.

Allrighty, it won't take long anymore for "Legend of the Seeker to premier in the USA.
If you want to know where and when you can enter your Zipcode in the countdown thingy above, USA people only.
Unfortunatly there is no news on when the series wil come to the netherlands, or any other country.

There are promoshots! You can see them on the dutch version of this website under "TV serie/aankondigingen" in the navigation menu to the left.
We are also verry busy with trying to find out if the serie is going to be on dutch television.
Hopefull news is that the serie is going to be aired on 98% world wide, premiere being on November 1st, and that one of these days Disney/ABC is going to release a listing of all known tv stations that are going to play the serie, also the ones outside of America hopefully.
I also sended e-mail to all dutch tv stations, asking if they are going to do the serie, but so far no good news.
If there is any news i will let you know....so we just have to wait.

There's comming a tv-series of "Wizards First Rule", the serie is going to be called "Legend of the Seeker" and will be on american tv bij november 2008. here you can see the trailer of the series: www.legendoftheseeker.com .

There is information about the 11th and last book of the Sword of Truth serie:

"The 11th and final volume is under contract and will be published in 2008.
Terry wants it out as early as late Oct or early Nov, but it is a big book and things can happen."

So, two more years of waiting instead of one as normal between two books.

successfully compressed into worthwhile feature films. In a meeting at the
author's home, the renowned director and producer instead conceived of a
groundbreaking mini-series. Within two hours Goodkind was sold on the concept
and negotiations commenced. Ten months later the deal was finally concluded.
"It's a dream come true to work with someone of such remarkable vision,
talent, and ability", Goodkind said. "Given Sam's sincere love for these
stories and his determination to only make great films, this mini-series will be
a watershed event."

All of Goodkind's novels have been international bestsellers. Translated into
20 foreign languages, there are over 10 million copies in print. The SWORD OF
TRUTH series began with WIZARD'S FIRST RULE in 1994. The 10th novel in the
series, PHANTOM, is on sale now. The 11th and final volume is under contract and
will be published in 2008.

Raimi and Donen hope to begin production of the opening mini-series, WIZARD'S
FIRST RULE, within the next year, to be followed by ensuing volumes of the epic

Dear Readers,

I would like to let you all know that doctors recently discovered that I had a potentially fatal defect in the major artery that supplies blood to my heart. The performed surgery – called a “beating heart” procedure, because they don’t have to stop the heart – and corrected the problem. The surgeon said that I have no heart disease of any kind and that in fact my heart looks like “the heart of a twenty-year old.” He said that he held my heart in his hands and can tell me first hand that I have a great heart and will have no further problem. He said it was a pleasure to operate on a healthy patient for a change.
I’m recovering quickly from the operation and will be as good as new in a short time. None of this has any effect on PHANTOM coming out July 18th, or on any of my many future books. My heartfelt thanks for all the wishes I’ve received for a speedy recovery. Rest assured, everything has been fixed, I’m doing great, and I’m now perfectly healthy. Life is good.

I am pleased to announce that the next book, scheduled for release in early 2005, will be the first volume in the Chainfire Trilogy. This new book, CHAINFIRE, is the beginning of the story that is the grand conclusion to the Sword of Truth series.

The Chainfire Trilogy introduces a new story line to the series which will be the core background story to the trilogy and at the same time bring to a conclusion the ongoing story of the entire series.

In order to give readers a taste of what is to come, the first chapter in the Chainfire Trilogy will be released in the paperback of Naked Empire, due out in a few weeks.

It is now official: the Sword of Truth series will conclude with the Chainfire Trilogy.

I'm really excited by this event, and by the story. It will be beyond what anyone expects, or could possibly prepare for. The first sentence opening this chilling adventure is:

Also Chainfire is now confirmed to be the title of book 9.

To avoid confussion. These books are oart of the SOT series. No one said they were going to be about new people. All hat was said is it starts a new story arc that will take place over the next three books. This is different in that Terry alwasy wrote one story per book. These 3 books will also bring an end to the overal SOT series plot of Jagag and he Order. This does not mean Terry will never agian write a book about this world.

Please do not read more into the announcement then is there.
